Bridal + Formal Wear FAQS

WHY DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

An appointment is needed to ensure Nikki Marie is available to assist you in finding a bridal or formal gown that best suits your personal style. Nikki Marie can also help discuss customization options with you.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?

If you plan to wear a specific piece of jewelry, shoes or accessory on your wedding day or special event, please bring it with you to ensure it complements the gown you’d like designed. You may also want to bring images of wedding or formal gowns you have seen that you wish to have your gown look like or inspired by one.

WHO SHOULD I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?

We suggest you limit the guest list to no more than four guests whose style opinion you value.

CAN I COMPLETE MY ENTIRE LOOK IN ONE APPOINTMENT?

At the moment, we only offer custom veils and custom accessories.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I PURCHASE MY GOWN?

We suggest you order your wedding gown at least six to eight months before your wedding date to avoid rush fees, as all gowns are made to order. Formal gowns take about 6-8 weeks.

WHAT IF MY WEDDING IS FEWER THAN SIX MONTHS AWAY?

Select gowns can be purchased a few months prior to your wedding, but a rush fee may be incurred to guarantee enough time for fittings and delivery.

WHAT IS A SPECIAL-ORDER GOWN?

All of Nikki Marie bridal and formal gowns are special-order, made just for you based on your measurements and reflecting any changes to the design you have requested.

WHAT ARE THE PRICE RANGES FOR YOUR GOWNS?

New designs are introduced throughout the year. The starting price for Nikki Marie Bridal Collection is $2,900. The Couture Collection starts at $7,000 and allows for more customization options. Bridesmaid and formal gowns start at $295. All prices are subject to change due to all gowns being customized for each individual and material costs.

WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY FIRST FITTING?

I will contact you once your gown muslin (sample fabric gown) is complete to schedule your first fitting. Second and third fitting takes place eight weeks before your wedding or special event day.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY FIRST FITTING?

Please bring the undergarments and shoes you plan to wear on your wedding or special event day to ensure the hemline and bodice are fitted properly.

HOW MANY FITTINGS WILL I NEED?

Two or three fittings are typically required. However, more fittings will be scheduled if necessary. Following your final fitting, I will press and pack your gown to be shipped or taken home.
