A Wild Dream Affair: How To Style The Katie Top For Work

Just because your work week is hectic doesn't mean your outfit has to suffer! Take a look at how effortlessly you can transform your OOTWD (outfit of the work day).

Simply layer this flexible and amazingly easy-to-wear vest over a crisp white button-up blouse. It is a fun way to play up a rather boring work shirt. The opulent design of the Katie Top is crafted from a diamond jacquard knit fabric. We are seeing a lot of textures and bold prints like this for the season. It is cut for a cropped feminine shape with a modest loose fit, so you can play with layering.

Did I mention I love layering!?! Fingers crossed it becomes sweater weather pretty soon. I'm sure you're antsy as well about it.

Now this season we are seeing a lot of leather for Fall; hello 70's. However, take my word of advice. Lightly dash some faux leather in your wardrobe. You don't want to look like a boy bander with head-to-toe leather while tearing up you coworkers' hearts with the awful smell of sweaty leather. Plus, faux leather is a breeze to care for in the laundry department.

I am all about supporting well-made products and I absolutely love my 7 For All Mankind faux leather ankle skinny pants. They are on point and so great with incorporating them into your work wardrobe.

Two main things women look for in clothing are style and comfort. I design with the working woman in mind. She likes to look polished and feel her best while running a company or ruling the world. She has no time to change outfits in between her 8 hour work day. I feel that this outfit is the definition of that girl. Plus, these patent leather platform oxfords mean business.

Remember, don't be shy with the accessories. It always adds a nice finishing touch. Just don't pile on so much that you look like you're trying to pick up a radio signal. As for makeup, I went for an easy 20-minute go-to look for myself. I used a mineral foundation (bare minerals), bronzer, illuminator, filled in the eyebrows, simple mascara and then lined all of my lips with a waterproof lip liner. My favorite one is by NYX and it seriously lasts all day.

My last thought in this post is to remind you that when you dress for success you can command assurance in your role. #girlpower #Bebold
